Starsand Island First-Harvest Planner

Check the first harvest against the time you actually have. Keep fractional days, choose a buffer, and see how much room remains before a quest, sale, or season deadline.

Worksheet updated October 14, 2026 · Crop presets: August 22, 2026 snapshot

Before you plant

Leave room before your deadline.

Preset: Blueberry Seeds. Listed season: Summer. Planting place: Farmland. Check access and season in your save.

Use the same in-game time units for all fields. Enter the actual remaining time from your save; this tool does not assume a season length or whether a crop survives a season change. Choosing another crop resets growth duration only.

Reduction means shorter duration: 20% turns 5 days into 4. It is an adjustable assumption, not a claim about how any named game buff stacks. No regrowth, watering delays, pest delays, bee effects, or season exceptions are simulated. Values are not saved after leaving.

Worked example: a five-day window

The default Blueberries preset lists 4.25 days to first harvest. With 5 days available and a 0.5-day buffer, the planning arithmetic is:

5 − 0.5 − 4.25 = 0.25 days spare

The plan fits those inputs, with a quarter-day left after the buffer. Reduce the window to 4 days and it becomes 0.75 days short. A favorable crop profit number does not change that timing problem.

If you have measured a 20% reduction in growth duration, the model uses 4.25 × 0.8 = 3.4 days. Under the original five-day window and half-day buffer, 1.1 days remain. This illustrates the formula; it does not establish the effect of a particular in-game skill or fertilizer.

Use an elapsed-time window, not a guessed date

  1. Choose the moment by which you need the first harvest. Read your current in-game date and time, then enter the interval remaining in days.
  2. Load the crop and compare the preset with the timer or description in your save. Replace the duration when they differ.
  3. Leave growth-time reduction at zero unless you know how much shorter the duration should be. If you already entered a reduced timer, do not apply the same reduction again.
  4. Add time for interruptions and the actual act of harvesting. An exact fit has no spare room beyond the buffer you entered.

Keep fractional values through the calculation. Rounding a 4.25-day crop down to 4 days can make a tight plan appear feasible. The worksheet does not add a free planting day or round each growth stage to a whole day.

Timing does not establish seasonal eligibility

The crop selector displays seasons and planting places from the saved wiki dataset. It does not read your save or verify a greenhouse, skill, planting box, or other exception. For a season-bound deadline, first decide which actual cutoff applies to your crop in your current build, then enter the remaining time.

A positive margin answers one question: does the entered first-growth duration plus your buffer fit the entered window? It does not guarantee that planting is possible, growth proceeds uninterrupted, or the crop survives a season transition.

For alternatives, use the main crop planner to filter by season and inspect growth times. For affordability, check the seed budget worksheet before buying enough seeds for the entire field.

First-harvest questions

Does this count second and later harvests?

No. First-growth time and regrowth time are different inputs. A crop can fit its first harvest but miss later harvests. Our current dataset does not provide complete regrowth timing for every crop, so this worksheet does not project a whole-season harvest count.

Why not automatically use the end of the season?

A player may be planning for a quest, a coin target, or a different seasonal cutoff. An explicit time window also avoids assuming every crop and every growing location follows the same transition rules.

How large should the buffer be?

Choose the interruption time you want to allow in your own save. The default half-day is an example, not a measured requirement. If watering, pests, travel, or collection could interrupt the plan, enter the extra time you want to reserve.
