Methodology

Island Crop Calc compares crops using a transparent, adjustable model. It is a planning aid, not an authoritative game database.

Formula

Average yield is the midpoint of the source's minimum and maximum listed yield. Gross value equals average yield multiplied by sale price, quality multiplier, and the optional processing uplift. Net harvest value subtracts seed cost unless reusable seeds are enabled. Daily return divides net harvest value by first-growth time after the selected speed bonus.

What is not modeled

• GMax probability, bee coverage, fertilizer cost, labor, and machine queue limits.
• Recipe-specific ingredients or processing time.
• Regrowth cycles, merchant availability, or update-specific balance changes.

Crop and seed facts are adapted from the community-maintained Starsand Island Wiki under CC BY-SA 4.0. The calculator code and derived presentation are original. Surprising results should be checked in the current game build.
